I've heard this news from one of my Bae sister (Sarang lady) already , that the Cosmopolitan Thailand have an article about our BYJ (hmm...they're so lucky). She even shared some scanned photos in her site " Man in the Legend " @ pantip.com. and she shared it too in KOB Talk Box #57683 last July 12'09. Thanks *^_^*

I've been searching for a copy of Cosmo Korea here in our place but there's no subscriptions supplied :(

Now lots of thanks to Ladymoon that she translated the Thai version into English, shared and posted it to - http://twssg.blogspot.com/2009/07/byj-man-on-fire.html
At least now I know the content of the article. Many , many thanks dear sisters.

“If you imagine Bae Yong Joon as a lonesome hero in brutal war, you’re totally wrong. His hand so powerful when I shaking hand with him. His warm smile reveal his perfect teeth. We probably thought that he is like any other stars. But I can tell you, that’s wrong. Because his point of view had changed.”

If your thought is we’re going to talk with a most well-known Korean superstar about his girls, you must be disappointed! Because what Bae Yong Joon want to talk is about his new ways for looking things around him in his life.

Let’s imagine a man who can do everything in life with balance. His routine is go back and forth between his home and office, go to the gym for work out. All of these are the meaning of BYJ’s smile. His perfect teeth remind me to orderly, constant lifestyle. It’s precisely and accurately like a math calculation. He is so strictly with himself and be a perfectionist. He is radiating pure aura, and it’s no surprise at all if one day he declare that he want to be a priest ! (OMG!!!...sorry BYJ, but I can’t imagine you to be priest.^^) BYJ who I’ve met today look so simple and relax. When I told him about my mother who worried that I will be too nervous when interviewing him. If this is few years ago, he won’t act like this. BYJ that I known few years ago would be flash his stunning smile as on the poster of Duty-Free. It’s so different from BYJ who I’ve met today.

“Don’t be nervous. It’s the best way to deal with things. May be I’m more relax. In the past, I always careful for everything even a little thing. But now I feel relax, peaceful, and beyond that, I have more confidence that I can control everything.”

And this is his journey through the long, narrow tunnel of his life. More confidence BYJ learned to care for things around himself, especially about environment. When I told him that the word “city man” sounds suiting with him more than “natural man”, he laughed out loud,

“You’re right. I’ve changed, it’s the others that not change. There’s no special reason that make me care for environment. I even can’t remember when I start thinking about it. I really consider about eating meats. Do you know that each year, excrement from just one cow or pig can emitted gas and caused greenhouse effect more than a Toyota can? The worst is we produce too much foods. We produce meats for ourselves.”

I foolishly asked him back that, how can I live by not eating meats? But what he said is

“Not everyone can be vegetarian. I just prefer eating vegetables. But I don’t need to declare that I’m a vegetarian. Because it won’t be good at all if I do like that and make many people around me get into trouble.”

I’ve to admit that it’s a very smart answer for my foolish question. That’s why every little things he do is so powerful. The thing is it’s never waste.

“Everybody have to change, even in good or bad way. I believe that I try my best to change in the best way. It’s time that we should care more for environment. We need to keep in mind that powers all around us are limited. What we need to do is start from little things, like make sure that you turn your faucet off or turn off your lights if you don’t use them. For me, I like to stay in rather dark place. (Oh, are you vampire or something, BYJ?^^) Just turn on only one lamp is enough for me. When you’re familiar with darkness, you won’t feel it’s dark anymore.”

Today, BYJ become a very flexible man. To live in the city, to touch with natural wind, even when he filling his car’s tank, everything seem more relax than ever,

“Now I’m making a little book. I often travel around Korea to climbing mountain, visiting temple, enjoying with nature. It’s definitely difference from life among concrete. Have I ever told you that I’d like to stay in upcountry? I’d like to have my own farm, growing herbs, and try to help other people. Just respect to this world by providing healthy foods from nature and giving out that happiness to people around me. I can’t imagine for any other things that more beautiful than this. And I believe it can come true one day because that’s the thing I try to do now.”

To reach the top of mountain with your bicycle is so difficult. Because you may be sliding or your bike’s chain can be loose or something. But when you start doing something, don’t give up. Your muscles will work with their full efforts to take you to the top of mountain. You will get there before you realize. That’s nature. It always have its own power and language.

For BYJ, now he became a voice of nature. He learned how to release his pressure that come along with his fame. It’s probably make you wonder, what is he make himself to get into? But the certain thing is, his muscles didn’t come from his work out in gym, but come from the ground that he stand. He’s strong enough to reach the top of mountain and befriend with darkness instead of spotlight.

When compare with him, where are we now? Have we ever make anything better? May be this is the question that BYJ want to communicate with us.
