Japanese First Lady Miyuki Hatoyama replaced her husband to attended the event.
As a fan of BYJ, arrived at 2 pm (before the event) and met BYJ for 10 minutes.
“It is extremely meaningful that Japan is joining a tourism campaign to promote Korea to the world,” Hatoyama said in a private meeting with Lee Charm, president of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) ahead of the ceremony.
She expressed a deep interest in the “Korean wave” of culture and entertainment in Japan and other parts of Asia.
After that she attended the ceremony and sat at the VIP seat.


BYJ was asked during the short interview before the 2nd day Tokyo Dome Event started/ the releasing of the book " Beauty Of Korea" .
Q: Before the event you were honored by a meeting with the Japanese prime minister’s wife, may we ask what did you talk about?
BYJ: “We talked about the cultural exchange between South Korea and Japan. I was startled by her proficiency in Korean”.
