It has been known that Bae Yong Joon recently purchased a house for himself in Seongbuk-dong, His recent purchase has gained much attention.

On the 17th, according to someone who is close to him, Bae Yong Joon purchased a house in Seongbuk-dong, an area congested with expensive houses. Currently, the construction for the interior is in full swing. It has been known that the house is designed with preferences in mind, Zen(禪).

A real estate agent, who has been dealing the expensive houses in Seongbuk-dong, gave hints by saying, “I heard rumors that Bae Yong Joon would be moving into this area, but detailed information was not released. The deal was completed in a discreet manner.”
Bae Yong Joon has lived at a villa in Samseong-dong, Seoul for over 4 years. He has leased his homes for a long time compared to the need of ownership for investment purposes by most of the other top stars.

The “Marriage rumor’, which had subsided for a while, is beginning to receive more attention as he moves from Gangnam (the district south of the Han River) to Gangbuk (the district north of the Han River). It also is gaining attention because he has purchased a house instead of leasing it.

Traditionally, Seongbuk-dong has been considered as a “rich village” in Seoul. Historically, the politicians and famous businessmen own the houses in Seongbuk-dong because of the area’s strong energy basis on the theory of divination, which is based on topography. Even Koo Ja Kyung, honorary chairman of LG, Lee Dong Chan, honorary chairman of Kolon, and Jung Mong Geun, honorary chairman of Hyundai Department Store live there. Small and big galleries are located around there; residences of foreign embassies are also lined up in that neighborhood.

It is stated that Bae Yong Joon considered the location and the surrounding environment while he was purchasing the house. He has prepared separate spaces for his hobbies, like reading and wine. It looks like he is going to be moving in the beginning of next year.

Yang Geun Hwa, CEO of Keyeast, said “It’s true that he bought the house. However, I think he hasn’t moved in yet due to the many construction projects that are occurring inside. There are rumors that it is a sweet home for his marriage, but I don’t really think so”
