[trans]BYJ Staff Blog (22) update on BYJ
source: BYJ Mobile Official Site
BYJ Staff Blog
20 April 2011
Japanese to English: tomato99 @LoveBaeYongJoon
(tomato: this is an excerpt from the posting.)
I have received latest updates on Bae Yong Joon-san, I would like to inform you a bit about it today!
Bae Yong Joon-san has recovered to do light exercise these days.
Bae Yong Joon-san had always worked on his body, and now he is avoiding muscle training and taking up light exercise like Indian “yoga” focusing on rehabilitation.
… as I heard this episode, Bae Yong Joon-san and “yoga,” doesn’t it sound graceful?

More on Fans blog of BYJ Sightings in Busan
Boonseongbae nim and todaktodak nim shared more stories with us in byjintoronto. Please enjoy.

[Ferrari Report]
I’m talking about YJ’s car.
I looked through the inside of his car thoroughly while he was away. I was almost attached to his car, but resisted to touch it.
Todaktodak nim might have been embarrassed to see me doing that; she wasn’t near me.
I just wanted to know what was inside of his car.
First, there was dust on his car.
Well, he drove down here from Seoul. It was possible.
But, haha
Even the dust on his car looked different to me.
There was no paper,or even a coin in his car even though he came down from so far, Busan. It is interesting because the average man generally brings something when they drive long distances. Shouldn’t there be at least coins, papers or even a cup?
No ornament was there.
It looked like it just got released from the factory.
And then I noticed one item
It was a small cosmetic tube.
I could only find that tube after I looked thoroughly inside of his car over ten minutes.
(from comment section)
boonseongbae: Oh.. It looked like there was confusion while he was parking his car. There was a parking attendant using a rough dialect of Gyeongsang-do. He said that, in the beginning, he didn’t know that it was Bae Yong Joon, so he said, “No, no, not there, here, over there..” with an irritated voice.
todaktodak: Hahaha, I heard that man bragging about commanding the indubitable Bae Yong Joon, “Do this, do that”, to his colleagues.

Fans blog of BYJ Sightings in Busan
Reposted fron: suehan's BYJ blog
Thanks a lot to Bae sister Suehan for the translations and postings.
Fellow fans encountered YJ at Haewoondae in Busan. (Apr 17th, 2011)
There was a young handsome man in his twenties next to BYJ without security. She called members of byjintoronto and they waited about one hour in front of a sushi restaurant. They had a chance to talk to him; boonseongbae nim posted a detailed story on byjintoronto to share it with us.
She said that YJ was wearing beige semi-baggy pants, a tight shirt with his sleeves folded halfway, a vest, and brown sunglass (transparent enough to see his eyes). He was also carrying a bag on his shoulder. Here is a detailed story. Please enjoy.

He will be coming out! coming out!
After waiting about one hour in front of a sushi restaurant..
He was coming out.
I can’t remember what he was wearing and what he was holding in his hand..
Just..
Ah..
That’s him..
He is so different than years past.
Annyeonghaseyo..
I said.
He nodded his head.
He got in his car.
Us, three women, attached ourselves to his car.
It was so easy because there were no competitors.
Please shake hands with me.
I don’t need the autograph.
Just..
I just need physical contact with him.
My hands were so cold because I was waiting in the sea breeze.
But his hand was so soft and warm.
Ah.. it was such a great feeling.
Do you know baetomisa (byjintoronto)?
Yes.
I’m still PR ambassador of baetomisa.
I’m from baetomisa.
I’m encouraged to talk to him since I got old.
What made you come this far?
OMG.
Does he think that all of baetomisa members live in Seoul?
I live at Haewoondae.
A fellow fan answered him while I was empty-minded.
Did you watch the video which baetomisa sent to you on your birthday last year?
Yes.
He laughed while he answered, “Yes”. Even I can feel the laughter in his voice.. hehe
I made lots of videos.
He might have not been curious, so he didn’t respond to it.
Please appear in the drama.
I’ll do it within this year.
Seriously? Or just joking? Or he might have received the same questions all the time?
He responded to it right away without thinking.
Now, while he was talking to me, he was signing his autograph on the book that a fellow fan brought.
He doesn’t know today’s date, hesitated a little, and dated April 15.
Upon on a request of drawing “emotion”, he used, “^-^”.
Please shake my hand.
I might get addicted.
I shook hands with him again. Ah.. this crazy feeling.
He said he was going to leave.
We said bye.
He waived his hand.
We madly waived our hands back to him.
As he pulled out his car,
There were girls passing by, and screaming in front of his car, “It’s Bae Yong Joon.”
They weren’t fans.
He waved at them while he was driving.
It looked like a habit.
He surely would waive his hand sleeping.
While he was turning his car,
he opened the window and waived his hand again.
It felt like I had received a gift again.
The Ferrari left with a “boong.”
It was quite noisy.
ps. According to boonseongbae nim, YJ parked his car next to the potted plants too closely, so when he opened the door, the door got scratched a bit. Oops..

---------------
With lost hope from tweets about YJ’s whereabouts last night, I went to a cod soup restaurant which I visit once or twice a week with my fellow fan. I took the heavy “A Journey in Search of Korea’s Beauty” which I have been taking every time I visited Seoul.
I even had a lukewarm reaction to my regular restaurant owner’s joking. I had no taste of that delicious food.
Can’t we seen him, sis? Let’s go home after the meal.
We gave up our clever, empty dream and decided to leave the restaurant. I felt better as I gave up.
We walked down the hill comfortably after we gave up everything. Then.. there was a Ferrari down the hill. It was a Ferrari! Isn’t a Ferrari, sis? I ran down the street towards a Ferrari trying to look for a parking space. YJ placed his arm on an opened window because of his hopeless parking situation and his nice, soft hairs were scattered by the wind like in the romance cartoons. Am I dreaming? I dared to approach to him and watch him from the corner. YJ had a short conversation with a parking lot attendant. Then he thought for a short period of time, left his car on the street, got out from the driver seat (leaving his passenger inside), and walked inside of the restaurant. Did he grow more? He looked tall. When he disappeared, then, I looked at the one in the passenger seat. Woman? It was a tall, handsome, young man.
YJ came out from the restaurant, got on his car, and parked his car with the guide. Looking at the car zigzagging, in front of his car, I was speechless. We interfered his parking. I don’t think YJ didn’t realize that two women who interfered his parking were his fans. I didn’t think we’re going to have a chance to see him zigzagging, having trouble parking his car backwards. He parked his car too close to the potted plant. I wondered how he could get out from his car because the space (between his car and the potted plant) was very small. He opened the door, hit the potted plant a little, and got out from his car nicely. He went inside the restaurant with his company in the passenger seat, who was as handsome as entertainers. We couldn’t talk to him, but we were just looking at his back.
Here are the comments which I posted on boonseongbae’s posting.
It was a very nice moment shaking hands with him, getting his autograph and having eye contact with him. But it was more impressive looking at him going inside then returning to his car for parking problems, and getting on his car again. He looked like he was in his twenties. I was so happy for having an accidental meeting at the same time and place. While we were waiting for him, parking attendants approached us. Yonsama? No.. We said, “Yes”, but It seemed like they didn’t believe us. No.. Did Yonsama drive down here without security guards? We said that it was possible. They said that he was really handsome.
He was wearing beige semi-baggy pants, tight shirts with his sleeves folded halfway on top of t-shirts, vest or cardigan with half sleeves, a beige backpack on his shoulder and orange transparent sunglasses. I looked at him while he signed his autograph in his car; his face was really sharp and handsome. When I saw him in real life, I’ve never thought he has a fair face. But his face was really fair without blemishes like being under hundreds of reflectors. He was really cute when he talked to himself while signing his autograph.
One more thing, but I might get thrown stones. He might have lost weight. His hip had disappeared. I’m wondering where his duck-like hips have gone. Oh, well.. He was attractively tall and looked sharp.

[Reposted Trans] Manager Yang talked about BYJ - Agency like a family
translated by Patty
Article on one of the magazine, Mr. Yang talk about BYJ, and best present from the number star.
Posted on KOB by Gauelyoja.
Mr. Yang said, he always take care of his company people, BYJ always says I can't do the work without the staff members. BYJ always treat the staff members like a his own family.
Mr. Yang also said, BYJ gave a foreign car for other manager as a present, and myself and coordinator doesn't care for the foreign car, so we received a high class Korean made car as a present.
He also said, BYJ take good care of those who are on the bottom of the staff members, he always treat people equally. If BYJ finds out that staff members are having a financial problem or having a tough time getting new home or rentals, etc. he always help them out without saying anything (Patty: what a guy, that is my man...the story touch my heart and made me cried). He always take care of the lowest rank people first and do things with them, such as excercise and workout together.
Manager, Yang Keunwan

IS BYJ IN BUSAN?
@toggijjang I’m at Haewoondae in Busan. Hehehe.. I came to see my husband (or brother in law?) with Chanhee. I’m staying in a Sweet Room, hehe. I’m bragging about it.
OMG. I think Bae Yong Joon is staying at the same hotel as I am. After a meal, I was carrying my baby on my back because he/she was sleeping. I was walking in front of Bae Yong Joon and it seemed like he was carefully making sure that the door was opening and closing safely. He’s definitely a gentleman.
@BYJTweets OMG I think I saw you at the hotel entrance. When I was entering the hotel with my baby on my back, I noticed you glancing at the door. I’m so giddy because I’m thinking it’s because of your thoughtfulness (regarding the door). I was glad to have met you. I’ve read your book and you are a wonderful man.

Korea’s Top Agencies Combine Their Powers
source: KBS World
2011-04-08
The largest and most successful Korean entertainment agencies representing some of the most well-known faces in Asia are coming together to form the United Asia Management (UAM).
The companies KEYEAST, AME&T, Star J Entertainment, SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment have all made investments to create this inter-Asian branch of themselves. The six k-pop powerhouses all agreed that there was a need for a bigger system where companies can collaborate, cast, and exchange ideas and talents to target the entire Asian market. Thus UAM was born to become a player in the global industry, representing all of Asia.
The collaboration team will not only play the agency role, but also manage portrait rights and intellectual property rights regarding film, drama, video contents creation, celebrity online stores, etc.
UAM will officially start this mid-April, with an already impressive lineup of faces that it represents: Jang Dong-gun, Hyunbin, Shin Mina, Bae Yong-joon, Kim Hyun-joong, Choi Kang-hee, Lee Ji-a, Soo-ae, Kim Nam-gil, BoA, Lee Yeon-hee, Ara, Goo Hye-sun, Kang Hye-jung, Big Bang, Rain, 2PM, and miss A.[News]Bae Yong Joon will move into his new house
Top star, Bae Yong Joon’s move to Seongbuk-dong in Seoul is delayed.
Last autumn, Bae Yong Joon purchased a single family house in seongbuk-dong in Seoul for 5 billion won. Since last november, his house has been under complete construction; now, the interior construction is in its final stage.
Someone who is related to Bae Yong Joon said, “the construction is taking longer than expected. It looks like the construction will be complete near the end of April. He will most likely move into his house around May.”

[Repost trans] Ganbare!! Let's Save the Children of Tohoku!
April 7
From flowerbossa:
Dr. Toyoshima had kindly given us his express permission to repost his article. In this short time, many BYJ fans have already given their support by giving donations, gifts and warm comments on his blog. He said that comments are always appreciated by the babies' families and medical staff, so please do not hesitate to show your support. AND please feel free to leave a comment here on my blog in any language you choose!
豊島勝昭先生のブログ 「ペ・ヨンジュンさんのNICU訪問から1年!がんばれ!小さな生命(いのち)たちよ」より
From Dr. Katsuaki Toyoshima ‘s Blog
“Ganbare!! Chiisaki Inochitachiyo
This is Katsuaki Toyoshima of Kanagawa Children's Medical Center's from the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
At the out-patient clinic, I heard a little girl’s voice calling “Sensei~ (doctor)" so I turned around. It was the (adjusted age) one year old Chii-chan’s older sister came running towards me. Chii-chan herself and her mother ran to me too.
Chii-chan was born 4 months early, weighing a bit more than 600g, and was on the brink of death as she fought for her life in the NICU. Dr. Tanaka and I attended to her. Her big sister was “a good strong girl” waiting outside the NICU, while her mother tended to the baby. She seemed to like me from then. I’m trying to recruit her saying “ I hope you get to know this hospital even more and come back to work here when you become big girl.”
Many of the so-called overworked pediatricians and nurses had the experience of coming to hospitals when they were very young, accompanying their sick siblings. And through watching their parents and medical staffs, they often come to desire to work in this field. Some may take pity on these children for having to live with a sick brother or sister, but on the other hand, you may say that they are privileged to have had the opportunity to know what “kindness” and “care” is all about.
Now, Chii-chan is beginning to walk, but a year ago, she was still in the NICU.
She is the baby that appeared on TV, when Bae Yong Joon-san who as introduced in the “24 Hour TV” charity program etc. donated incubators to us, and had come to our hospital to show his support to the patients.
Tomorrow will mark a year from then. I think I never imagined that Japan will be hit by an earthquake a year ago.
With encouraging events like BYJ-san’s visit to our medical center, I think I had a vague feeling of a bright future that the situation of NICU would improve.
When he came to visit us, BYJ-san went around to see each baby and their families, listening intently to what they had to say and gave them strong encouragement.
When I asked him “ why did you make a donation to the NICU?” the following was his answer:
“Children are the future for all of us”.
Last year he had donated to the NICU, but this year he has made another contribution appropriate for the particular situation (the recent earthquake). I truly felt that he is a serious and kind person.
His words, “giving incubators to the children is about all I am able to do…” also left a strong impression on me.
I told him, “I am grateful for your donating these incubators, but what I would appreciate even more is that if your fans in Japan who are many in number, will observe your behavior of doing what you say you can do, and if that will lead to their support for NICU and the children in the medical centers, that “heart” will be a far greater gift then an “object” such as an incubator. This is something I also told Shuuichi Murata-san of the Yokohama Bay Stars (baseball team) who contributed to the “Kyuji Kikin 救児基金 (save the children fund)”.
If any of you Bae Yong Joon-san’s fans support the objective of our fund, we would appreciate it if you would make a donation for the sake of the children.
The size of your donation does not matter. To have as many people as possible come together to show they care, the babies, the families and medical staff who are doing their best even in the aftermath of this disaster will be greatly encouraged.
On Bae Yong Joon-san’s incubator, there is a gold plate as seen in the photo. It seems that it gives much encouragement to parents and grandparents of the babies who are Hallyu fans.
When the infants’ temperature is low, we use an incubator which is box-shaped, but once their temperature is stabilized, we change it to an open-type incubator which resembles an open car that has a removable lid.
It is a high performance incubator which has the capability of adapting to the child’s growth and temperature, and one incubator can function as two of them. In the future, Japanese NICUs may not be able to obtain many of these types.
But I am ready for the reality that we are entering an age that the issues we faced before the earthquake “we don’t have enough NICU beds, facilities, staff…” will not be easily solved after this disaster.
A year ago, I felt that “no matter how hard we try at the medical center, we don’t have enough things, oh someone do something about this”… But having experienced the earthquake I think I have strongly come “to appreciate the things we have and that things we have left, rather than cry over what we do not have”.
In this age when the economy will probably decline, the enhancement of NICU will no doubt be difficult, but I am reaching a conviction that I will not give up.
By thanking what we have, being grateful for the warm thoughts of the people who are willing to support us, making the most of what we have and what is left… Even if we do not have more in “quantity”, by improving the “quality” we can unfold our own ability to the fullest. And a feeling is building in me that no matter what the circumstances are, I want to save the children of Kanagawa Prefecture. We too will do our best, so we hope that together, each of you in your own way would support the medical care that will protect the children who will be taking on the role of reconstructing our country. May we ask for your understanding and support?
