Let's get Physically Fit

April 30, 2009

One of my last routine daily is going to the Gym, doing some workouts, aero and dancing, at least for 2 and half hours, from 6:00 - 8:30 PM, Mondays through Fridays, the least 3x a week. If ever I can't do the workouts the next early morning , around 4am, I do the walking inside the village for 1 hour, everybody still a slept. It's been a year and a half now that I've been doing this.

Before I'm not used to do this but when my body comes heavy, I'm so worried that I might get some illness due of heavy weight and worried too that I can't wear my desired dress anymore.I felt so awful (ugly). I must really take care of my health because I'm not alone, there's my children who depend on me alone, if something happens to me because I'm so careless of my health, my children well be left alone.

Now I can still eat a lot. It's no problem anymore because I can burn the calories every time I went to workout. Yes we can still eat as much as we can, but commit your self in exercising. Exercising is not just loosing weight but it makes your body physically fit and gives you more energy and comes more active and stronger than before. They said when you do exercising it can shave 10 to 12 years off your age.... hmmmm...I like it, ha ha ha...

Here's my not so good Video Clips,he he he .....

Leny with Happy Hearts Club...

April 29, 2009

May, the month which you can hear there's a lots of town celebrating their fiestas. Fiestas - an annually held to commemorate the foundation of a town, city, or province or to honor it's patron saints. It's a celebration in which they show case how religion, culture and tradition are woven in the fiber of our existence. 9 days or one week before the actual date of fiesta, every night the concerned people are organizing some shows, plays ,games and even contest...

Last night, the barrio near to us is celebrating their fiesta and they organized a look a like contest ( actors look a like) for youngsters. (oh they we're all cute, there's even a Kim Hyun Joong look a like, but I behave my self, they might sue me of Child abuse, he he he he).

And as part of an entertainment they requested our group to participate and perform a dance number. (
I'm a member of BHW or Bustos Health Workers and HHC or Happy Hearts Club). Our group is always been requested every time there's a fiestas or other occasions in Municipal Hall or even B-days or Weddings of some higher govt officials.

That night we dance two times and somebody took us a shots but the photos on stage we're so far and not good, because of the lightning effect , its so dark.
Here take a look....

The photos on stage are not good and clear... So they just decided to take
some poses a little bit far from the crowd in front of Sta. Monica Chapel.

Hey, it's me, seems so happy and jolly with the crowd and friends,
but deep inside full of sadness and loneliness.

Even if I changed my shoes to my Happy Feet Clogs it seems that I'm still the tallest of this group tonight though I'm just 5'5 inches tall.

BYJ... I'm Sorry

April 27, 2009

Sorry

Sorry for loving you...
It all began when I first saw you

The expressive eyes
The priceless killer smile
The eloquent voice that have sensual volumes
And those sturdy muscles

Everything that can be seen in you is perfect
But I know you're more beautiful inside your heart
...it's proven and
that makes me more fallin' with you.....

I hate the feelings,
coz I know it's going to no where
It's one sided attraction that detrimented
my emotional well being
But i can't help falling with you
And that's the hardest thing that
I've ever done......

Sorry for loving you
I'm trying to be with friends and other company
But behind my smiles still
it's you that I'm thinking of
There are nights when I can't help but cry
What can I do, I'm so sad and
just being honest
So sorry.... really really sorry.....

Think About Environment
20 April 2009

by: Manager Yang Geun Hwan
Japanese to English: tomato99
(Thanks to Mngr. Hwan and Tomato )

Greetings, dear family.

This is Yang Geun Hwan.

It has been a while.
^^Korea is getting much warmer these days and cherry trees are in full bloom.
How about Japan?
It may be a good idea to go out to see cherry blossoms with your friends
over the weekend.

Other day, including Bae Yong Joon and other BOF artists Choi Gang Hee,
Lee Bo Young, Park Ye Jin, E Ji Ah, Bong Tae Gyu, Kim Jung Wook,
Hong Soo Hyun, Kim Heung Soo, You Seol A, Yoo Joo Hee, Kang Yo Hwan,
Lee Se Na, and Ryu Sang Wook happily joined the shooting
to create a photo book to protect environment.

All the profit will be donated to environmental organization,
and it will be used for environment protection activities.

Unfortunately, two artists could not join because of their schedule,
but it was heart warming to see everyone encouraging each other
and enjoying the shooting.

Especially, Bae Yong Joon did an interview and seriously talked about
environment and his ideas regarding the issue.

This photo book will be on sale from 20th of this month,
I would be pleased to see everyone’s concern for it.

How about thinking about environment for one day today?

Lee Ji Ah - "Let's grow more trees on earth"

Hong Soo Hyun - calling everyone to save electricity by turning
off the lights when it's not needed.

Cosmo ED met BYJ

My gratitude to this people....

[Cosmopolitan] I met Mr. BYJ. (From the editor..)

From the editor

I met Mr. BYJ. Although I had met numerous flutterings(Joanne: People who make your heart flutter) including actors, musicians, etc, because I was a former feature reporter, I did not somehow have any association with him. On an occasion of visiting him as the editor-in-chief to deliver congratulation and thought of thanks to him, who became our cover model, I expected his 'signature smile' and 'some courteous words of greetings'.
However, he was very much different.
"Ah, (I heard) you became a new editor-in-chief several months ago, didn't you? Congratulations." (Oh my goodness, How did (he know) that!)
"I am glad to participate in such a good project as this." (He is good mannered too!)
"No matter what they are, there has to be story to get result. Culture, history and campaign like this too. The agony is over how shall we do to be able to show (people) so that they would be convinced with more ease. I think that we actors can do such roles." ((He has) even logic and persuasive power!)

Having interest in people he meets and attitude of having significance and sense of pride in works he had chosen, I thought that (he was) the professional after all, the best professional for that matter. According to an editor who proceeded with (shooting for the pictorial), he hasn't had any single careless expression, appearance in his outfits, and conversation, during 4 hours while shooting and interview proceeded. With such a passionate participation by him, the Cosmopolitan obtained the one of the best male cover in our history. Also the proud campaign pictorial containing messages on environment. For the best, there clearly is reason for it. I surely want to say this, although it sounds superfluous.

BYJ, A Considerate Person

BYJ, extraordinary consideration of taking care of pocket money for lowerest ranked manager in company

[Sports World]4/23/09

'Successful people have something different no matter what it is'

It was revealed that BYJ, an entrepreneur as well as an actor, accomplished his current success with careful personality of taking care of the lowest ranks in his company.

Manager is the one of the poorest paid jobs in the society. When listening to stories from people in the entertainment businesses, (managers) start receiving poorer salaries than temporary employees which are becoming a social issue lately. However, they would stand those sufferings because they heard of myths of their seniors who raised stars. They bear the pain with one thought that they will become like seniors who accomplished success myth rising up from the bottom. However, the situation is that making stars is more difficult than getting stars (in sky). Even though numerous young people enter path of manager, most of them give up being unable to overcome poor pay and tremendous schedule.

Because BYJ is aware of such situation, he encouraged newbies who began managing job in BOF founded by himself as he took care of separate spending money every month. A person in entertainment business, who had begun manager career in the BOF recalls that time saying, "At that time the salary was very much poor," and "I was very much disappointed after getting my first pay, but Mr. BYJ took care of pocket money separately on next day. I was really too thankful to an extent that I was not able to say anything." Such consideration gave pride to managers in his agency, and that grew the BOF as big tree in Korean entertainment business.

Continuing on, he also say a word about rumor surrounding BYJ. "As Mr. BYJ's personality is free & easy and manly, he does a lot of playful things to people around him. I think people misunderstand him at the sight of those," and "As people ask me about Mr. BYJ and my heart is really wanting to record those and play for them."

By the way, BYJ recently set out to social service including taking pictorials for environmental protection along with actors in his agency, and donating that profit to Korean Committee of UNEP, an environmental (protection) organization.

BYJ effect! Magazines with environment pictorials are sold out

[Nocut News]4/21/09 08:34

As cover model for Asian edition of fashion magazine, Cosmopolitan

'Yon-sama' BYJ was proud of majestic air worthy of the Hallyu star.

According to people in the business on 21, first printings of fashion magazine Cosmopolitan, where BYJ is the cover model, were all sold out. It is extremely rare happening for first printings of a magazine to be sold out without any particular supplements, so that even in publication business cannot help being surprised.

The Cosmopolitan carried BYJ's face in covers of April (Joanne: ?May) issue not only of Korean edition but also of those sold in entire Asian region. This magazine, being a licensed fashion magazine, has been using overseas stars as cover models all the time. It is an exceptional event for domestic star to set out as its cover model.

BYJ also shot environmental pictorials that stretch no less than 22 pages along with 14 actors from his agency, BOF. A staff at his agency hinted, "Frankly, it was not certain if Mr. BYJ was going to shoot the environmental pictorials along with other actors."

As BYJ responded to unscheduled interview for about one hour on the filming site also, giving impression of 'being professional after all'. In that interview, BYJ exposed his thoughts on environment without addition and subtraction.

By the way, BYJ and actors of BOF donated entire profits from these environmental pictorials to Korean Committee of UNEP (United Nations Environmenal Plan), an environmental organization under United Nations. The profit is planned to be used not only in supporting environmental LED lamps to domestic children's welfare facilities, but also in water purification work to improve water quality & supply drinking water in contaminated water areas in Asia.

Korea Can Learn from Japanese Drama Production

(Source) The Korea Times
Arts and Living - 4/20/2009 - 16:23
By Han Sang-hee
Staff Reporter

Korea and Japan have been at center stage when it comes to television dramas, and the Korean Broadcasting Institute has revealed the differences of the two close yet distant countries' drama production.

According to the report ``Comparison on Drama Making of Japan and Korea,'' led by researcher Kim Young-duk, the acting fees given to local star actors exceed those in Japan, decreasing the competitiveness in the drama production market. While local actors' pay account for 60 percent of the drama budget, Japanese actors based on a similar budget receive only 20 to 30 percent the amount.

``Excessive fees can lead to oversized production costs, which may also lead to poor profits. Korea must come up with a rational fee estimate system by observing objective data,'' the report suggested.

The reason why Japanese actors don't get paid excessively is because of negotiations carried out based on accumulated data. Japan emphasizes what is called ``potential ratings,'' which is basically possible ratings based on the actors' series ratings and number of appearances on television and other media for the three previous years. The report gave examples of this system, including that of Nanako Matsushima, who receives 4.5 million yen (approximately $ 45,514) with potential ratings of 14.8 percent; Yukie Nakama with 3 million yen ($ 30,342) at 14.1 percent and Kimura Takuya receiving 3.5 million yen ($ 35,400) with 13.1 percent. Top local actors such as Bae Yong-joon are known to receive approximately 250 million won ($ 185,800) and Song Seung-heon 70 million won ($ 52,025) per episode.

``We need a similar system that is transparent and based on trust,'' the report said.

Although many actors including Kwon Sang-woo, Ko Hyun-joung and Song have noted the difficulties in drama production and have decided to lower their paychecks, the problem still lingers among other ``expensive'' actors and also them appearing in the same dramas.

Apart from production costs, other differences included the number of episodes aired weekly and running time.

While Korean dramas usually air twice a week ― Mondays and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and on weekends ― Japanese productions mostly present dramas once weekly. Korean dramas are relatively longer, at 70 minutes, while Japanese episodes air for approximately 46 minutes.

``The two-day airing system may be effective in raising ratings, but to produce more globally competitive shows, we need to look into airing one episode per week and cut running time and pre-production,'' Kim said in the report.

Drama production in Japan starts about six months to a year prior to actual airing, which gives actors, crew and producers time to deliver their best work. Such is rarely the case in Korea.

``Many Korean dramas are made in a rush due to conflicting schedules,'' according to the report.

Many episodes of local dramas are made at the last minute, creating words like ``jjok-daebon,'' which means scripts being given out right before the shooting of a particular scene. Some suddenly extend the number of episodes, riding on popularity, but later get criticized for stretching the storyline too much.

In order to break the bad production habits, Kim suggested the need of specializing.

``Having a producer and also a scene director may help cut the time in drama production and help strengthen overall quality,'' Kim said in the report.

Considering the impact television soaps have on social, economic and cultural aspects, it's important to understand how to best create them and how to present them in effective time slots, the report added.

``According to the Korea Economic Research Institute, the economic effect of the drama `Winter Sonata' was 3 trillion won. For production companies, dramas are among the content they are highly interested in for creating a firm image of themselves and also as stable moneymakers,'' Kim wrote.

first time…
20 April 2009

Greetings, dear family.

This is Yang Geun Hwan.

Some time ago, Bae Yong Joon visited Morioka in Japan and studied about lacquer from Mr. Jun Yong Bok.
It was his first experience, so he had made many mistakes but he worked hard from morning to night
and made various works, decorated staff’s mobile phone and had some good time.

And during this visit, he got on Shinkansen for the first time.
He would always travel by plane or cars, he was really satisfied to see
different view of Japan from Shinkansen window.

In Korea, we have high-speed railway called KTX which is similar to Shinkansen.
Bae Yong Joon rode on it other day when he was visiting Pusan to attend an acquaintance’s wedding.

How about riding on KTX and visit various spots when you are visiting Korea?

Agreement for joint planning signed by Keyeast, Phoenix C&M, and Apple Tree Pictures for Korean version of Drops of God

- Kim Tae Won, Yoon Shin Ae, Bang Sang Yun and other well-known participants form team for the television series Drops of God
- Development of Asian Wave cultural content by means of joint planning arrangement
- Filming to begin in latter half of next year after planning stage is completed this year

The top dream team has been put together for the Korean television series Drops of God.

For the production of the television series based on the global best seller manga Drops of God, the Asian cultural content company Keyeast (www.keyeast.co.kr) has entered into a joint development agreement with the leading domestic television and film production companies Phoenix C&M (CEO: Kim Tae Won) and Apple Tree Pictures (CEO: Yoon Shin Ae).

Keyeast secured the exclusive (Korean) television series rights for Drops of God. Now to create content which can lead the Asian Wave, Keyeast has entered into the cooperative arrangement with television/film production companies which have accumulated extensive experience and know-how. The three companies will together engage in planning, synopsis drafting, and other similar activities.

The planning stage for television series has become more important due to the fact that the markets for television series now generally include foreign nations. Many productions now begin with cooperative planning carried out by several partners. The team of Kim Tae Won, Yoon Shin Ae, and Bang Sang Yun, who have produced television series such as Jumong, Tazza, and Bomnal, has attracted much attention to the Drops of God project.

A spokesperson for Keyeast said that" we secured the domestic television series rights for the original work, which has become a hit worldwide, and now with the formation of our planning team, the production process for Drops of God has gained more momentum". The spokesperson also said that they would deal with any differences between the television series and manga in a way which appeals to the tastes of the Asian region.

The planning for Drops of God is scheduled to be completed this year. After selecting the writer and production company and going through other necessary processes, the goal is for shooting to begin in the latter half of next year.
