Hallyu star Bae Yong Joon’s student, actor Kim Soo Hyun belongs to Keyeast like Bae Yong Joon. He was a part of the main cast who created “Samdong-ache” by appearing as a genius music student, Samdong, in the drama, “Dream High” which Bae Yong Joon and Park Jin Young participated in. That’s why his relationship with Bae Yong Joon is different than with the others.

Kim Soo Hyun hasn’t forgotten to talk about Bae Yong Joon at the recent interviews with this company. He hasn’t appear in the scenes with Bae Yong Joon in “Dream High,” not even one scene.

“I haven’t had any scenes where I appear with him in ‘Dream High.’ So, I’ve never had a chance to meet him in front of the camera. But he continuously encourages me. He sent me text messages one by one while monitoring the drama. Most of them critiqued the scenes. I really appreciate that.”

Kim Soo Hyun shared one episode related to Bae Yong Joon with us with a big smile. “One day, Yong Joon hyeong said that my face was tired looking. After that, I went to the shooting site and saw his present of multi-vitamins. I was touched. I’m still taking them.”

Bae Yong Joon encouraged Kim Soo Hyun. Bae Yong Joon is somebody Kim Soo Hyun relied on.

“We had a conversation after the drama ended. He asked me about my feelings, and I answered with a positive response. Yong Joon hyeong said, “This is the most important time. You should share your love with others once you receive love from others. Please don’t forget modesty as well.” He helps me a lot.”

Kim Soo Hyun called Bae Yong Joon “Yong Joon hyeong” during the interview. " I was curious because Bae Yong Joon is a major shareholder of Keyeast".
He said, “I was scared when I saw Yong Joon hyeong for the first time. Managers scared me saying, “Be careful.”, as a joke. I introduced myself to him nervously. But he responded nicely by saying, “Oh, I know you.” Since then, I opened my mind little by little and began to call him hyeong. Actually, once I asked him how I should call him because of his high position, CEO. But he said, “Call me as you would like” (laugh).

Kim Soo Hyun learned a lot from Bae Yong Joon by being near him. So he didn’t miss Bae Yong Joon’s name in discussion of his role models.

“I like Christopher Waltz in the movie, “Inglourious Basterds” I wanted to become an actor like him right after I watched the movie. Of course, Yong Joon hyeong is my role model in Korea. I’d like to learn his ability to be perfect.”

He attached wings on his back with “Dream High” It’s Kim Soo Hyun whom we expect today, rather than yesterday, and tomorrow rather than today, since he is preparing perfectly to fly farther than anybody else with those wings.

“Yonsama” Bae Yong Joon filed a lawsuit against a cameraman of the monthly magazine who took pictures of the inside of the house which he purchased in Seongbuk-dong last year.

On 23rd of February, someone related to Keyeast, his agency, had a telephone conversation with Newsen and said that, “On the 18th, Bae Yong Joon filed a lawsuit against a reporter who invaded Bae Yong Joon’s privacy by taking pictures of his house in Seongbuk-dong.”

The same person above said, “We kind of understand the outside pictures since they’re already released before, but he even came into the yard to take pictures. Unfortunately, he invaded privacy and private property without the owner’s permission.”

He also added, “He took pictures of inside of the house including the yard and published them in the magazine. We filed a lawsuit for the invasion of private property. We’ve no idea how he entered the house because there were workers remodeling the house and the main entrance must be used to enter the house.

Bae Yong Joon bought a 5 billion won worth house in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul last autumn, and it became a topic. His house is currently under interior construction and he plans to move into the house as soon as the construction is completed.

On Feb 10th, someone associated with Bae Yong Joon’s agency had a telephone conversation with Newsen and said, “After being discharged from the hospital, Bae Yong Joon is receiving treament as an out-patient. He is receiving both physical therapy treatment and drug therapies at same time, and he has not fully recovered yet.”

It’s inevitable for him to have to rest for a while since he hasn’t fully recovered yet. The same person above stated that “It’s too early for him to start any official activity again. He will receive long-term treatment and make activity plans later.”

Actor Bae Yong Joon won the invasion of privacy and infringement of copyright lawsuit partially.

On the 3rd, Division 12 of the Seoul Central Court Civil Division (Judge, Park Hee Seung) ruled in partial favor of Hallyu star Bae Yong Joon and his agent, Keyeast who filed a lawsuit against the S advertisement company. The court ordered the defendant to pay thirty million won and prohibited them to use his images on the internet.

Last December, Bae Yong Joon and his agent, Keyeast filed a lawsuit against the S company for the invasion of publicity right and claimed one hundred million won for its damages. In the lawsuit, they complained that defendants were using his images, name, and his nickname, ‘Yonsama’.

The S company filed a cross-complaint against the plaintiffs asking for one hundred million won. They complained that ‘We didn’t violate BYJ’s property right because we only used ‘Yonsama’ without his pictures and his name,

Animation originated from drama coming into home theaters is visualizing....

[ZDnet Korea]In recent home theater, dramas originated from animations like ‘Princess Hours (aka Goong)’, ‘Boys over Flowers, and ‘God of Study’, etc. showed popularity continuously. Solid contents were based on the entertainment and recognition success; it shows off good coordination with the dramas.

Contrary to this, we can hear the news about the animated popular dramas often. Animation ‘Dream of Janggeum’ for children is a good example of one of the successful animated dramas.

On the 22th, according to the related industry, animations that target to become the second ‘Dream of Janggeum’ sent an expedition and it caught our attention.

First, animation ‘TWSSG (Legend)’ has plans to broadcast the first part of this year and launched its production.



‘TWSSG’, Bae Yong Joon, Moon So Ri, and Lee Ji Ah played as the main characters, achieved 30% viewing rates in 2007 and played an important role in the historical drama fever. It was such a popular drama that it created its own genre, ‘Fantasy Fusion Historical Drama’, and it was a completely different category to that of the existing historical dramas. Last year, the production of animation of ‘TWSSG’ was announced and it became a popular topic.

GNG Entertainment (ceo: Jeong Geukpo), Mix Film (ceo: Ryu, Hee Jeong), and Neo of Japan are producing ‘TWSSG’ together. It is known that it consists of 26 episodes and a total of 3.6 billion Won was invested in the production costs.

Damdeok (King Gwanggato) was the main character in the original drama, but Georyeon (King Jangsoo), Damdeok’s son, is the main character in the animation. It shows the adventures in which Georyeon and the four gods fight against the forces that threaten Korea.

When GNG Entertainment made the contract they said they’ll use unique computer graphics and special techniques and it has heightened its expectation. They have experience in the Japanese market through the animation ‘I’m sorry, I love you.’ In 2006.

‘Winter Sonata’ played a major role in the Hallyu fever. Its animation will be broadcasting domestically and ‘Studio, Meditate with Pencil’, which is famous for ‘Dinosaur and I’, is handling its production.


‘Winter Sonata’ describes the 10 years story from the high school days of Joonsang and Yujin who are the main characters of the drama with beautiful color. When they started its production, the fact that Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji Woo who were the main characters of drama took the role of the voice actors became a topic of conversation.


Its broadcasting started in Japan last year and in the last episode, the scenes in which Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji Woo appear will be broadcasted in April. Domestically, it’ll be broadcasted in the first part of this year.
