욘사마 스고이~ '5년전 화보집' 서점 재입고

일본팬 문의 폭주에 주문

욘사마의 힘이다.

'한류원조' 배용준이 일본팬들의 사랑을 톡톡히 실감했다. 배용준은 무려 5년전 발간한 화보집 을 서점에 재입고시키는 저력을 발휘했다. 서울 영풍문고 명동점에는 이 화보집이 신간 베스트셀러와 함께 진열돼 있어 눈길을 끈다.

지난 2004년 일본과 한국에서 출간된 은 20만부 판매로 185억원의 매출을 올린 책이다. 영풍문고 명동점 장상원 부점장은 "일본 관광객들이 서점에서 배용준의 화보집을 찾는 문의가 많아 지난달 주문해 비치해놨다"고 말했다.

배용준의 소속사 BOF 역시 "새삼 프로모션을 하는 것은 아닌 것으로 안다. 수요에 따라 당연스레 공급된 것 같다"며 얼떨떨해 했다.

배용준은 올해 수필집 <한국의 아름다움을 찾아서>를 발간하고 '한국 전도사'로도 맹활약 중이다.

Korean superstar Bae Yong-joon has filed a W100 million lawsuit against a travel agency that sold a tour package for Japanese tourists whose itinerary includes Bae's favorite coffee shop, hair salon and home (US$1=W1,153).

In the suit filed with the Seoul Central District Court, the 37-year-old actor said the travel agency infringed his privacy and right of publicity by using his picture to advertise the tours and demanded W50 million each time it commits the violation.

Bae said the agency posted his name and photo on its website without his permission, and, by disclosing the location of his home, restricted his private sphere. When contacted, the agency promised to remove the program from its sales list but failed to do so.

BYJ Sued The Travel Agency

The news today said that Bae yong Joon can't take any longer the infringing company
that uses his name and photographs for their own business without any authorization.
They even violated his private life and invaded all the places where BYJ goes and work.
They had been warned last June but still continued the infringement. BYJ filed a lawsuit
against this travel company for damages in Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office.

映画俳優ペ・ヨンジュンが自宅と良く行くコーヒーショップ、
ジムなどを旅行商品にして販売した旅行会社を相手取り、
損害賠償請求訴訟を提起した。

7日ソウル中央地裁によると、ペ・ヨンジュンとペ・ヨンジュンが
最大株主である(株)キーイーストは「ペ・ヨンジュンの
声明と写真などを旅行会社のホーム ページに
無断に掲載した。ペ・ヨンジュンの
自宅などを調べ、ペ・ヨンジュンの
私生活領域を極端に狭めた」として、商品を販売したS社をパブリシティー
権侵 害停止及び損害賠償請求訴訟を起こした。

彼等は訴状で「日本人を相手に観光商品を
販売して、ドラマや映画撮影地だけではなく、ペ・ヨンジュンの行動をどのように知ったのか、良く行くコーヒー ショップ、美容室、
自宅なども観光商品に入れた。該当業者がヨン様商品を削除すると答えたのに、現在まで履行しないでいる」
と主張した。引き続きインター ネット上で、ペ・ヨンジュンの
肖像権侵害行為を禁止し、これに違反するごとに5000万ウォン
の支給と共に、1億ウォンの慰謝料も要求した。

Skiing With Lee Young-ae

Hallyu (Korean wave) star Lee Young-ae has been picked as the South Korean entertainer Hong Kong residents would most like to go skiing with, a survey showed Monday.

The survey of 488 Hong Kong residents, conducted by the Hong Kong branch of the Korea Tourism Organization Nov. 7 and 8, said Lee topped the list of South Korean entertainers with 188 votes (38.5 percent).

Lee was followed by Song Hye-kyo (140 votes, 28.7 percent), Jeon Ji-hyun (110, 22.5 percent) and Bae Yong-joon (77, 15.8 percent).


Meanwhile, the KTO's Hong Kong branch plans to hold a variety of promotional events, including a photo contest, to publicize South Korea's beautiful winter by the end of the year.

First of all, we would like to apologize for making everyone get confused with people’s speculations and rumors on the tour.

The actual facts are as follows, Bae Yong Joon’s scheduled dubbing had been postponed and his schedule matched with the monitor tour’s guests visiting date. So, Bae Yong Joon and guests were to meet at the studio.

Bae Yong Joon learned that everyone were coming all the way from Japan, with his pure honesty, he wished to say his greetings to the family who always support him, and took pictures together with his own will.

Therefore, this BYJ’s encounter with tour guests are by accident and not intentional.

This tour is not a tour to meet Bae Yong Joon, and main priority is for the guests to experience actual dubbing and to feel the world of Animation WS. And also DATV will be making a program to introduce the tour. This policy will be same for the Animation WS dubbing experience tour in the future.We ask you to understand before participating the tour.

We are well aware that everyone of the family love Bae Yong Joon, and our company will put together various projects to meet your requirements. We ask you for your understanding and support.

Also, we have repeatedly requested you on official site, there are still many chasing tours which are giving difficulties to Bae Yong Joon’s private life, and many are mistaken that they are official tour. 11月末に催行しましたアニメ「冬のソナタ」アフレコ体験モニターツアーにつきまして、多くの皆様からお問い合わせと御意見をいただきありがとうございます。

事実関係から申し上げますと、アフレコの予定が延期となっていたペ・ヨンジュンのスケジュールが、偶然モニターツアーのお客様がいらっしゃる日に重なり、スタジオ入りしたペ・ヨンジュンとお客様が居合わせることとなりました。

Bae Yong Joon's new photo book, "Memories of the Trip -from Discovering the Beauty of Korea" will be on sale from February 2009. (Correction: it's next year 2010 not 2009)

Yon-sama had experienced and reported traditional culture for about one year to write his Japan and Korea’s best selling book "Discovering the Beauty of Korea."
His features were recorded in more than several thousands of photos, but his book included mostly photos taken by Yon-sama himself.

This new photo book will carefully select unreleased photos and will show BYJ devoting himself to his work in details.
His managing company says "this content will let you re-experience his trip and his feelings."

Reservation starts from 4 December at shopping sites, Nikkan-sport.com and bofi, and at Kinokuniya Book Store.

Different eyes to look at Yon-sama

Bae Yong Joon, who has captured Japanese women’s hearts at a single stroke
with his drama “Winter Sonata”, is still active extensively.
“Winter Sonata” has now been made into an animation
and his essay “A travel following the beauty of Korea”
was published in September in both Korea and Japan.
As he contributed to the wide introduction of Korea to Japan,
there are many Koreans who think of him as a private ambassador.

On the other hand, not a few Koreans have strange feelings
about the popularity of “Yon-sama” in Japan.
In Korea, even if people love some entertainer
they hardly follow the stars to such pl*aces as hotels and airports
that have nothing to do the performance.

A few years ago, when Bae Yong Joon was enthusiastically received
at a Japanese airport,
the fact itself became big news in Korea.

It is also strange for Koreans that BYJ’s popularity hasn’t gone down in years,
because Koreans get excited about things quickly and loose interests quickly too.
Quite a number of Japanese, once they have become the fans,
will be loyal fans whole life long,
while many Koreans’ love would last as short as three months.
In Korea so called mini-series of drama is broadcasted for three months,
so is the popularity of actors.

Koreans have different views of Bae Yong Joon from Japanese.
They appreciate his sincerity that he gives much thought and make every effort,
his character as a perfectionist, his out-and-out self control.
His image is more like a business person than an actor.

He is totally involved in the casting, direction, production
and even copy right issues of his work.
I myself have been to his press conference a few times,
and had a clear impression that rather than an actor
he is “a noble looking business person with good education”.
My colleague shares the same idea.

Some journalists even say that
he is “an actor who appears more authentic business person
than actual business men.”

In other words Yon-sama is one of a kind among the Korean actors.
He might be called “a professional business person”.
