In his photo-essay, BYJ introduced an episode that he has experienced while he was learning ceramic art from maestro Cheon Han Bong.


Maestro Cheon Han Bong is a ceramic artist who is designated as a Human Cultural Property, and it is inevitable that his work became one of the major theme of BYJ's photo-essay. The maestro that BYJ met in Moongyung, Kyungsang province was a short-statured, diligent, and generous man.

For several days, Maestro Cheon showed BYJ the process of ceramic art - finding clay, processing the clay, spinning, trimming, firing, and so on.


After showing the entire process, the maestro gave YJ his last mission to choose the best ceramic piece.

After visiting maestro Cheon, BYJ started to make ceramic pieces at home. YJ wrote frankly, "maestro breaks the finished pieces when maestro doesn't like the outcome, but I cannot do like that. I cannot break the peaces that have gone through all the elaborate processes. They are like my offspring."

He showed his respect as "so much time and effort are needed to become a master, and it is so difficult for even a master to create the 'Real One' ".

Maestro Cheon Han Bong was born in 1933, and he is a professor of ceramic art at Moonkyung University, and is designated as a Human Cultural Property.
He started to learn ceramic art when he was 14 years old. He is famous both in Korea and abroad, and had more than 150 times of exhibitions in Japan.

KEYEAST, an Asian cultural content company (CEO: Kim Ki Hong, www.keyeast.co.kr), released a statement on the 20th of August with a vision to become "Asia's leading cultural content company" as one of its media platforms.

KEYEAST's affiliate company in Japan, Digital Adventure (DA), recently received official approval from Japan for the launch and operation of a major broadcast channel focusing on entertainment called "DATV".

"DATV" will officially launch on the 1st of October and broadcast content of famous Asian actors and entertainers, entertainment industry trends, entertainment news and various other entertainment information via satellite broadcast "SKYPA!".

KEYEAST is anticipating the broadcast of its coproduction of the "Winter Sonata" animation on DATV in Japan. (Official broadcast set for October 17)

KEYEAST (054780, CEO: Kim Ki Hong), an Asian culture content company, signed a contract worth (KW) 8 billion with a Japanese publishing company.

Bae Yong Joon's photography travel essay, "Discovering the Beauty of Korea", will begin publication in late-September. KEYEAST signed a contract with a minimum guarantee of ¥60,750,000 for sales in Japan. Book quantity and other minimum guarantees to be determined separately in the future.

The site for Bae Yong Joon's book has already been flooded with inquiries and strong public interest in Japan. KEYEAST, in commemoration of the book's publication, will host a large press conference in Korea in mid-September and host an unprecedented event at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo,Japan in late-September, expecting over 50,000 people to attend.

KEYEAST's CEO, Kim Ki Hong said, "Traditional artists and cultural contents discovered in Bae Yong Joon's book will be accompanied by a unique culture and travel site, "Key to Korea", to coincide with the books publication in September. Singer and actor Kang releases 2nd single in Korea

Kang Yo Hwan's second single album cover [BOF Korea]

Korean singer and actor Kang Yo-hwan released his second single in Korea on Monday, according to his agency.

“STEP1”, first released in mid-August in Japan, will start selling today in Korea, BOF Korea, agency for the 31-year-old star said in a press release.

His first single album, “Remember”, was released at his Yokohama concert last December which sold out.

The new album contains two songs; a ballad titled “One Person” and an upbeat J-pop style tune called “step1”. Kang wrote the lyrics for “One Person” in dedication to the fans that have supported him.

Ahead of the album's release, "One Person" was revealed on top Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon's official Korean and Japanese website.

Kang is also currently doing voice-over work for the role of Sang-hyuk in the animated version of Korean hit drama “Winter Sonata”.

Buko Fruit Salad - freshly done that's why it's not so chilled yet
A Chicken Breast Macaroni Salad (I used light mayonnaise so it's less in fats)
and the Potato Tuna Fish Cake.

And of course there's a cake for you to blow.
My daughter bought the Cherry Chocolate Cake.
She chooses the cherry choco cake because my youngest loves the cherry
and her oppa (my son) loves the chocolate so much and me too.

BYJ is having a press meeting(출판기념회* ) at the lecture hall of Yongsan National Museum.
BOF noticed that "On September 22th, BYJ is having a press meeting in celebration of the publication of his book 'The Beauty of Korea' ".

"The Beauty of Korea" is the title of a photo-essay book that BYJ has prepared since last year.
For this book, BYJ traveled all over the country to photograph national treasures and to meet speciaIists of art. He made kimchi by himself, and learned ceramic art. He even visited laquer museum in Iwate county, Japan, and learned laquer work from Mr. Jeon Yong Bok.

This book is going to be published in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and English version.
BYJ is planning to hold an event in Japan, on Sep 29th for the animation Winter Sonata, and on Sep 30th for the celebration of the publication of his book.
