I Wanna have BYJ -WLS Anime CHOCO too !!!!!

July 3, 2009

Again it's so quiet now in Bae Land, no reports, no news.....where ever I go ( to my Bae sisters different sites), no fresh articles of BYJ. So lonely, sad, sad, sad, sad....

Nothing to read and it's still so early so I decided to go grocery shopping since my pantry now is almost empty. So thankful that we have now a new build mall very near in my house (walking distance). It has a supermarket that you could buy some imported products. Unlike before, every month I have to travel to Manila just to shop for our imported groceries which my children love so much like some Japanese foods. Here' my picks....

Kimchi ramen, so hot, hot hot,
my children like it.

these , came from China

I always buy this San Remo Trivelle but now I saw
this Nui colorful Vege Macaroni,......hmmmmn........ I want to try, it's new to me.

These can goods for the sandwiches of my 3 babies.
Take note, the corned beef, spicy again.

The milk and the non alcoholic sparkling red is for my youngest -Mycah,
Guava juice for "Kuya" Denmark (elder brother or oppa)
Grape ade for "Ate" Stephannie(elder sister or onni)
and lastly the Green tea for Mommy of course.

Japanese products of course, me and my 3 jumbo kids
love, love, love so much Japanese foods.
There's nori , mayonnaise, spicy yakiniko no tare , miso paste,
tofu, furikake and the spicy curry cubes (my son's fave).

Assorted snacks , my children still have their stocks of chocolates so
I bought only my fave chocos available - Toblerone and M&M
(when I was still younger I always bought the biggest pack of M&M,
but now no more big package available )

But wait, look at these... look, look!!!! Waaaaaaaahhhhhh......

I saw these photos in http://dearyongjoon.blogspot.com of Xiaoyi
which she lifted from SNOW/ BOFi of byjfamily

Oh my, my, my.... where the heaven here in the Phils. I could buy these so yummy yummylicious chocolates. I wanna have it and taste it too, but how?. Arrrgh... my mouth is watering. I"m so envious to our Japanese Bae Family, they can always buy the products connected to BYJ and often saw him in some events. Why in the Phils., there's no supply and no appearances.
Sigh...... am really, really, really jealous, sob, sob, sob, sob.

Many thanks to SNOW and Xiaoyi

[KEYEAST] Japan's Tokyo Dome to Display ...

Japan's Tokyo Dome to Display Korean Cultural Content in September

2009.6.29

- Large-scale event in Tokyo Dome on September 29-30 for the broadcast of the Winter Sonata Animation and the publication of the Beauty of Korea
- Much interest within Japan toward cooperation between Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji Woo after 7 years and the announcement regarding Beauty of Korea

- Big expectations due to the streamlining of managerial resources and synergy effects arising from the addition of DA as an affiliated company

The Asian cultural content company Keyeast Co., Ltd. (www.keyeast.co.kr) officially announced that it will be holding a large-scale event on September 29-30 at the Tokyo Dome in Japan to celebrate the upcoming publication of the Beauty of Korea (name subject to change), which is a book introducing the culture of Korea, and the broadcast of the Winter Sonata Animation in Japan.

This event, which will be the first major project to be planned and managed by the new affiliated company of Keyeast, Digital Adventure (DA) (www.digiadv.co.jp), has attracted the attention of many in Japan as Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji Woo have not appeared in public together since the end of the original Winter Sonata television series 7 years ago. In addition, many people are excited about this event because it will be the first public event for the Beauty of Korea, for which Bae Yong Joon himself traveled around Korea to explore the cultural traditions of Korea.

On September 29, the animation version of Winter Sonata will be introduced, while the next day's event will celebrate the publication of the Beauty of Korea. The cost of the tickets for each day will be 8,925 yen per person and these tickets will be available for sale on July 11.

A lot of excitement also surrounds the making video for the Winter Sonata Animation, for which sales will begin on September 18.

A spokesperson for Keyeast stated that "we planned this event with the desire to create an atmosphere allowing the exchange of Asian cultures, including video content and traditions, as opposed to simple fan meetings, and this event is expected to have a significant impact on the sales for 2009 as it will provide much publicity and exposure for some of our key business projects."

This event is the first major project to be handled by DA after becoming an affiliated company of Keyeast. And this event has caught the attention of the industry because instead of relying upon outside partners, Keyeast has been able to proceed solely through a company within its family, thus fully utilizing the available managerial resources and the synergy effects arising from the addition of DA to its family.

BYJ - Loathe The Blow Of Political Winds (6/25)

[Trans] [News] 2009-06-25 Bae Yong Joon “I loathe the blow of political winds”

“not involved in politics. . .” “attending ‘Touring S Korea Year’ related conference, an invitation from the Cheong Wa Dae ( Presidential Office).
Bae Yong Joon stated.

The CF of “Dae Han News” starring Jang Dong Min and Kim Tae Hee also received a similar reproach. Recently a number of celebrities have been dragged into the political spotlight. On the 24th of June the talk of the town revolved around celebrities Bae Yong Joon, Kim Tae Hee and Jang Dong Min etc and politics.

Bae Yong Joon became the focal point when he quietly appeared in Cheong Wa Dae on the 23rd. Kim Tae Hee , Jang Dong Min and other comedians were on the (2009 Dae Han News). In February, after the news about Big Bang being invited by Cheong Wa Dae to sing the patriotic ‘Rap Song’ came out, Big Bang were suddenly the target of a lot of negative attention.

Of all these encounters, the most representative is Bae Yong Joon, who has been appointed as the promotional ambassador of the ‘Touring S Korea Year’.

He paid a visit to Cheong Wa Dae on the 23rd. Bae Yong Joon’s agency stated that the inquiries were not merely from the industry, but from every corner of the general public. Being the promotional ambassador attending workers meeting and discussions, it’s never crossed anyone’s mind that this would cause such an intense response. BYJ had no intention to meet President Lee, however many were looking at the matter with different colored glasses on.

As soon as the news that Bae Yong Joon had showed up in Cheong Wa Dae's was reported, many second guessed that perhaps Bae Yong Joon was going to accompany President Lee in his forthcoming visit to Japan..

It is perfectly natural for celebrities and politicians to be interconnected. The general public are fond of celebrities, while they face the people honestly, the society entrust them with certain responsibilities. But the present situation is quite the contrary. So long as it involves politics, no matter that it is self promoting or for reward, celebrities are often the target of public opinion, accusations and even attacks.

Regarding that Bae Yong Joon will accompany President Lee to attend the S Korea and Japanese Summit meeting, Bae Yong Joon’s agency have stated that this is totally false and groundless.

When celebrities get a lot of attention from the public, any political involvements can also bring on a negative backlash from the public. Some show business related figurehead has said regrettably that a celebrity is also a citizen, a human being. Given even I could get a bit of political coloring. However whether the celebrity is involved for the purpose of self promoting or for reward, if they show a bit of political color, the celebrity will be on the receiving end of attacks. I personally don’t think this is correct behavior.

BYJ Visits The Korean President

Bae Yong-joon in Mystery Visit to Presidential Office

Actor Bae Yong-joon

Actor Bae Yong-joon visited Cheong Wa Dae on Tuesday, reportedly meeting spokesman Lee Dong-kwan and deputy spokeswoman Kim Eun-hye, and many at the presidential office itself were curious why.

One official at the presidential office said the visit might have something to do with President Lee Myung-bak's visit to Japan this coming Sunday. Bae is an extremely popular figure in Japan, especially among women, and runs a traditional Korean restaurant in Tokyo. That leads to speculation that Bae might be given some role in one of Lee's projects, to make Korean food more popular abroad.

"It's true that Cheong Wa Dae is planning something to do with Bae during the president's visit to Japan, but for protocol reasons nothing has been finalized," another official at Cheong Wa Dae said.

(Joanne said) Gaeulsan posted this on the freeboard of Daum.net's byjintorontoCafe.
Because BYJ attended a meeting at Korean Presidential office with rumor or unconfirmed report on internet that Korean President might visit Gosireh when he pays a formal visit to Japan, there is many rude and mean replies to the article against BYJ, mostly from anti-President people.
Gaeulsan posted timely thought in this occurrence.
I am sorry to share this with overseas fans.
However, I would like you to understand what kind of treatment BYJ gets from Korean people, who never appreciate BYJ's heart and significant contribution in cultural exchange.

Becoming a cultural icon..

By Gaeulsan6/24 09

Yongjoon-nim is the icon representing Korean Culture.

Whether he himself wants or not, he has become it.

With his masterpiece drama, he let Japan know Korea anew.

To introduce well-made Korean set menu cuisine, he started a Korean restaurant called Gosireh. Having recovered from injures while filming a drama, he is going around everywhere throughout the country for past one year, to make a photo book that would inform Korean culture.

Yongjoon-nim, as I have been watching,

is a person who never makes hasty jobs no matter what he does.

He also would never make irresponsible remarks.

Highly appreciating such image, the nation give him a title of Tourism Promotional Ambassador.

And they say (BYJ) attended working level meeting (at Korean Presidential Office).

However, because of this occurrence, arrows having been aimed at mb (nickname of current Korean President) are targeting Yongjoon-nim.

That's why there is an old saying 'Do not go to where crows play'(from Korean proverb "White crane (Good people), do not go to where Black crows (Bad people) plays.")

The idea of the Presidential visit to Gosireh (some media are reporting possibility of the visit) may have been planned to take advance of Yongjoon-nim's image or may not be it.

Regarding the matter of attending the working-level meeting, there could be pouring of replies (to newspaper articles on internet) that criticize Yongjoon-nim right away.

The unfounded criticisms that have been distortedly (talked about) all the while, could also tagged out along again.

However, Yongjoon-nim will not say anything in this time also.

He will only work on things which, he considers, he has to do,

These antis just can't accept that just a certain actor like BYJ can achieve and bring a great, great, great contributions to his country. But they can't put the good person down, specially with us "Bae Family" who really support him in anyways. And I am so proud to be one of his family.

Many ,many thanks to my Bae sisters -- Gaeulsan and Joanne.
And to BYJ Gallery for the photo.

My Mycah's Daily Bento

June 23, 2009

Usually I raise at 4am to do my walking exercise inside the village, but now since the school classes started again I can't do my walking anymore during week days, because I have to cook a lot for our breakfast and prepare the "baon"(necessities taken by a person who goes... like lunchbox or pocket money) of my child.

Although my children are half Japanese, they didn't grow up in Japan, but still they learned few Japanese culture and traditions. Just like this "bento"- a home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine.

A traditional Japanese bentos as I have had known have a 4:3:2:1 ratio; 4 parts of rice, 3 parts of meats, 2 parts of vegetables and a part of dessert. But sometimes I can't follow this procedure, I just packed what ever my children wanted and what we have.

Unlike other high school students, my child still loves to bring lunchbox and don't want to buy anything in school canteen (she's very thrifty you know, but when it comes to dolls she buy it even if it's very expensive). She don't even care if she's the only one left in the classroom during lunch time, but now she said there were 5 students that brought lunchbox too and enjoyed eating with her. She always bring separate bag for her "bento" (for lunch), miso soup thermos (a Japanese soy bean paste soup), juice jar and sandwich (for her snack) that I always prepared (well of course - that's a mothers job with love).

Today I want to show you how I packed the lunch box of my youngest daughter, just a simple style unlike those of professional works that elaborately designed with cut out shapes of meat and veges.

June 8th, 2009 - Monday (first day of school class) no bento yet

June 9, 2009 - Tuesday
Hotdogs designed like an octopus, scrambled eggs with spinach, crab nuggets,
some fish balls, and rice with Furikake (a Japanese rice seasonings)
and carrots (she loves fresh carrots so much).

June 10, 2009 - Wednesday
Scrambled egg with spinach again, shrimps, ham,
squid rolls, baby corns, grapes and
rice with carrots and furikake .

June 11, 2009 - Thursday
Crab balls, breaded chicken breast (I sliced it into stripes to
make it easier to eat
), quail eggs, scrambled egg,
shanghai rolls (usually it 's filled with ground pork but I used tuna fish)
fried tofu, slice tomatoes, steamed Baguio beans
and rice with furikake.

June 12, 2009, Friday - no class, it's holiday ... Phil. Independence Day

June 15, 2009 - Monday
Octopus hotdogs, scrambled egg, small prawns, squid rolls,
chicken nuggets, carrots, cauliflower and
tiny Onigiri ( Japanese rice wrap with nori and furikake)

June 16, 2009 - Tuesday
Ham, salted egg, crab nuggets, crab stick, and
fish cake which I sliced thinly, tomatoes, broccoli, potatoes
and rice with nori (a Japanese thin dried seaweed sheets) and furikake.

June 17, 2009 - Wednesday
Shanghai rolls, scrambled egg, chicken vanilla,
embotido, cubed fish cake, broccoli , spinach on the sides
and carrots and rice decorated with cut out nori.

and this one same dishes for my collage student,
she said she wants bento too this day,
but she wants her eggs filled with spinach.
Sauces should be packed separately.

June 18, 2009 - Thursday
Tuna salad, chicken nuggets, quail eggs,
tocino (sweetened cured pork, a native delicacy),
sliced carrots, rice with furikake and mini siopao for her snack
(she saw that I steamed some siopao so she said she wants it,
so I don't have to make sandwich today.)

June 19, 2009 - Friday
Rice with furikake again, some crab balls, bacon,
chicken pandan, ham, beans, cucumber and baby corns.
(when my child came home after school, she cried without tears to me,
asking why there's only 2 slices of cucumber in her bento, he he he)

again same dishes for "Ate" (elder sister)

June 22 ,2009 - Monday again
Fried chicken dumplings, noodles(pancit canton),
fish(daing na tilapia), slice salted egg,
whole kernel corn with butter, slice tomatoes,
lemon cuts, rice with furikake, mocca cake(no sandwich today)
and for the dessert, a chocolate with crunchy peanuts and soft nougat.

today June 23 - Tuesday
I made sushi filled with crab stick & carrots, I used a molder but my child said it's so big so the 2nd one filled with chicken vanilla, I did it my own to make it smaller but I'm not so good in doing this, then I put in another box a shrimp rolls and chicken pandan balls, with some carrot cuts, and as for the dessert, there's a canister of choco coated biscuit sticks ,it's her snacks too.

So mothers out there start making bentos for your child now, it's not necessary for a bento to be very decorative but children find it enjoyable and love to eat more when it's arranged. And aside from that , you are sure that your child is eating the right and healthy foods. They can save money too.

So mothers, or even anybody who have a husband or a father or any body in the family who's working somewhere, make a bento for them and enjoy making it, use your imagination and have fun.

Korea's 'Yonsama' to meet 100,000 fans in Japan

Korean Wave star Bae Yong-joon, better known by the sobriquet "Yonsama" in Japan, will meet some 100,000 fans at the Tokyo Dome in September, his agent in Seoul said Tuesday, according to Yonhap News.

Bae will meet them on Sept. 29 to promote the anime version of his widely-popular TV drama "Winter Sonata" and another meeting the following day on his essay on the beauty of Korea, his agent BOF said in a press release.

The two fan meetings, to be held at Tokyo's largest stadium, will be broadcast live at multiplex cinemas across Japan.

"Winter Sonata" heroine Choi Ji-woo, widely known as Jiwoohime in Japan, will join Bae for the promotion of the animation.

Bae's essay, the first book to be authored by the popular actor, features his ideas and views on Korean aesthetics. The title of the book has yet to be finalized.

Bae last fan meeting in Japan was in June last year when he promoted his TV series appearance in "The Story of the First King's Four Gods."

Bae gained an explosive popularity in the neighboring country after playing the hero in "Winter Sonata" in 2002, and remains especially popular among middle-aged Japanese women.

Bae to meet with 100,000 Japanese fans

Bae Yong-joon, known as "Yonsama" by his Japanese fans, will meet with an estimated 100,000 this September according to the 37-year-old Hallyu star's management company, Boundaries of Forest (BOF).

Bae is scheduled to hold a pair of events at the 40,000-plus capacity Tokyo Dome on Sept. 29 to promote the animated version of "Autumn Sonata"(they mean Winter Sonata) -- the 2002 KBS drama that catapulted him into continental super-stardom along with a book signing the following day for "The Beauty of Korea," which he penned over the course of a year.

BOF said yesterday "The Tokyo Dome can hold over 40,000 so over a two-day span we're looking at a maximum fan turn-out of around 90,000. If we take the estimated 10,000 that will hopefully attend live satellite broadcasts around movie multiplexes throughout Japan, we're estimating a ballpark figure of 100,000 total."

The upcoming events will be the actor's first "fan-meeting" in Japan since last June, when he was there to promote his MBC fantasy serial "The Legend."

Me in The Face Shop Store

June 22, 2009

I've been in Manila today to do some business and after that I suppose to meet one of my Bae Sister known as Angge in Bae Land, but unfortunately she didn't received my messages and calls. So no meeting happened ... sad, sad , sad ...

Even though I'm alone I went to one of the malls that I know, that have a The Face Shop outlet on my way home, SM North Edsa. I'm so excited to see it with my own eyes that they had changed the display model to BYJ posters. It's past noon already, I don't mind if I haven't taken lunch yet and my tummy was already complaining, upon entering to the mall I went straight ahead to TFS. And when I saw the face of BYJ in the window I was so glad and I laughed loudly alone that some people just stared at me and may be thinking that I'm crazy. And I said to myself... "so it's really true".

I went inside the store and I asked the salesladies if there's a promo. They said they have ---- a plastic school tumbler. And I said "What!!!!!! , why tumbler not a BYJ posters. It's good if the tumbler have the face of BYJ then I'll accept it, but it's just an ordinary tumbler." Then one of the ladies replied that they're going to request the posters and the paper bags like other country have. I said again "you should, if you want your sales to increase, ha ha ha ha".

Then one of the ladies again noticed my mobile phone... she said "Can I see your phone"... then I showed it to her. She screamingly said "Oh my God, it's full of BYJ photos, where did you get it" ... then we chat and chat and laugh and laugh like we're old friends.

After chatting, I said" Okay, since you're all nice and kind to me, I'll buy some of your product even without BYJ posters".... then the 4 of them yelled together "Yeheeeeey!!!!!!".

Here's the store

and me of course, but I'm not looking good here,
a little bit fatty,yaaaaaak !!!!

Here's my choices

2 nail polish-GL111 & PK104,
Color Shimmer Lipstick - RD301
Premier Essence in magic Cover SPF 20 -NB23
And a tester of Quick & Clean Blemish Balm

Before I went out the store there were 3 more different costumers came in and I'm done so I must exit. But before leaving I left to them my number and told them that if they have a poster , send me a message and I will hurriedly come back. They all smiled and waved goodbye to me. Oooh, what a nice ladies.
